GOP Defrauds America!

Michael Steele, Obersturmfuhrer of the RNC, set a new record for disingenuous sleaze by disguising a GOP propaganda and fund raising mailing as the US Census.  Rachel Maddow has the story:

Are you as disgusted as I am?

I am going with whine as how the dems will respond, they seem to be afraid of fire.

Really ironic in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District, since its GOP Rep has decried the real Census as government intrusion.

They did the same thing 10 years ago.. I worked the census then and had people tell me they had already filled out the census papers.. when I asked if they had what they filled out they said yes they hadn't mailed it back yet... they showed it to me and that's what it was.

I also got one from them and so did my mom and dad. I filled mine out, I am sure they didn't like my answers either... lol

I got one too. I filled mine out and then wrote across the whole thing "YOU LIE". I don't think they'll get the irony of that. I'm pretty sure they're not going to like my answers either.

Mark, I won't bet against you there.

Stimpson, it's almost comical.

I did not know they did that in 2000, Annette. Thanks.

Annette and Lisa, my amswers would not be suitable for discussion in mixed company.

I'm waiting for mine... I got their other push polls in the mail.

Talking to a lot of conservatives, they have informed me that they have no intentions to fill out the census because they don't want "big brother" looking out for them, citing Glenn Beck as proof of why they shouldn't fill it out.

Kevin, that's wonderful! They are too brainwashed to realize that not filling out the census will diminish the representation predominantly red areas get in Congress. Let them bask in their ignorance.

Good, I'm glad somebody else posted about this too. I'm even more surprised the mainstream "media" ran this story. I learned about it on Yahoo.com.

Another GOP sleazefest. The bar keeps getting lower.

An old Republican tactic, why should we be surprised. Rove's hit squad also used a tactic known as "caging" to disqualify minority voters when they showed up at the polls.

Tom That almost surprises me. Yahoo News depends on AP.

Octo, in the previous incarnation of this blog, we discussed caging quite a bit. For people who parrot the word 'freedom' so much, they swure love to interfere with it.
