Yesterday I caught up on visiting neighbor blogs and hope to do so again today. After that, my plate will be pretty full for a bit, volunteering, getting a USB hard drive for my computer, backing up the computer, getting an H1N1 vaccine, visiting Social security, trying to learn enough about Medicare to avoid mistakes in getting that going, etc.

Just make sure you get both parts A&B (absolutely necessary) and if you have no drug coverage pick D wisely. There are so many damn plans for D out there that you really have to be an evil genius to figure D out.
I suggest you go to the AARP site and look for their comparison in D plans.
Thanks, Mark. I appreciate the help. At this point, I'm not sure of my A status. SSA has not told me how many quarters I have in. I think it's enough, though. I'll definitely check out AARP. I used to be a member, but I canceled when they sold out to Bush on part D instead of lobbying for real reform. Since they appear to be doing better now, I'll probably rejoin.
