Action Alert - Call 'Em Out: Bachmann

She’s not our favorite wing-nut.

"A gross distortion." "Pants on fire!" "False." That's what the independent PolitiFact site has said about Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann's health reform lies.

In fact, PolitiFact has rated six of her statements, and all of them have been either "false" or "pants on fire" false.

The stakes are too high to let Bachmann's reckless lies go unchecked. So we're calling her out.

To sign off on calling her out, visit The Democratic Party.

That woman is nothing but a mad hat!

Yup, HB. Over here we call it a nut-job.

People re-elected her last year. That's more bizarre than any of her lies.

While freedom of speech is a slippery slope, to allow such outrageous manufactured lies to be passed on as truth should be stopped. The irony of it and the sad thing is that the GOP leaders know (or should know) that this woman is hurting their party, yet refuse to do anything to rein her in.

Stimson, that is bizarre. I used to do business in Minnesota regularly, and th people seemed far more reasonable.

Charles, I hear you. What she is doing is the equivalent of screaming "FIRE" in a crowded theater. Freedom to speak should include responsibility for what is spoken. On rare occasions, I have posted what I thought were facts that I later discovered were untrue. In those cases, I always post that I was wrong.

Welcome MNBlue. Feel free to contact me with news on Maureen Reed's campaign, and I will help spread the word. :-) My email address is in my comment on your blog.
